• Handicap Committee score posting and tee sheet verification process
    • The Handicap Committee will review the tee sheet daily to ensure all postable rounds are being posted accurately and in a timely manner.
    • What this means for you is that you are responsible for posting your round on the day of play each and every time you play a postable round.  If you play a round that is not postable you must notify the golf shop of why it is not a postable round so that they can make the necessary edits to the tee sheet to notify the Handicap Committee that your round was not postable.
    • Another factor of this process is that the tee sheet must be accurate.  Therefore, it is even more important than ever to check in before your round and inform the golf shop of whom you are playing with.  Just as important is to notify the golf shop if you made a tee time but need to cancel it or to provide the name of whomever else will be using your tee time.  Every name on the tee sheet will be required to post a score or inform the golf shop that they are not playing a postable round that day.
    • What happens if you forget to post your round?
      • On your first offense: You will be notified via email from the Handicap Committee that you have not posted your round and asked to please do so asap.
      • On your second offense: You will be notified via email from the Handicap Committee that you have not posted your round for a second time and that they have posted a “penalty” score of 72 to your GHIN.
      • On your third offense: You will be notified via email from the Handicap Committee that you have not posted your round for a third time and that they have posted two “penalty” scores of 72 to your GHIN.
    • When does this process go into effect?
      • The handicap committee will start their review of the daily tee sheet starting on April 6th.  They will start to notify everyone that does not post a score of this new process in an effort to be transparent and to inform everyone before we start to post penalty scores.  As of April 20th, this process will go into effect and you will start to receive the “penalty” emails as mentioned above.
