Qualifications for Tournament Play

 

  1. In order to be eligible for tournament play, each entrant must be a Full Golf Member in good standing. Children of Full Golf Members who have reached the age of 19 and are not older than 23 years old (at the time of the tournament), who are full-time students or serving in the military and meet all qualifications for tournament play may participate with their parent for Two-Man Match Play, Member/Member, Tradition and Club Championship Tournaments ONLY.  
  2. Season-Long Match Play
      1. Each round of individual matches will have a deadline. If the match has not been played prior to that time, and only one of the participants is present, that participant will advance. If neither player shows and other arrangements have not been agreed upon to play the match, a coin flip will determine the winner.
      2. Each round of two-man matches will have a deadline. If the match has not been played prior to that time and neither team is present, and only one of the participants is present, that participant will advance. If neither team shows and other arrangements have been agreed upon to play the match, a coin flip will determine the winner. A match can be played with one team member from each/either team present.
      3. Once the match is over, you are to finish your round even if the match is over and post your 18 hole competition score, if you do not finish your round you will get par plus strokes on the remaining holes.
      4. First round of two man match play will have a play date for all remaining first round matches that have yet to be completed, May 27th if weather permits. 
  3. Only equipment that conforms to current USGA regulations is permitted. Use of non-conforming equipment will result in disqualification.
  4. All players must exchange scorecards with their opponents prior to the start of each tournament round for the duration of that round. All scorecards must be signed by all opponents.
  5. By signing up to participate in a tournament, the member agrees to abide by all qualifications of tournament play.
  6. Player must have a handicap record that will allow the handicap committee to determine an appropiate handicap index for a given event, at least 10 scores posted in the last 12 month period. The absence of an adequate playing record will make the player inelgible for the competition.
